Manny Ramirez Feels Left Out of the Free Agent Fun

The day that Manny Ramirez leaves the baseball landscape will make the sport a far less amusing pursuit. He's making the most of whatever time he's got left. Ken Davidoff of Newsday is reporting that Manny is telling friends that he's so disgusted by the lack of interest from interested teams has him contemplating retirement.

I'd be willing to bet several organs that Ramirez will be in a uniform come Opening Day, so instead we'll just focus on why he might be finding it hard to land a job. Manny's antics have always been balanced by his spectacular production. When he pushed his enablers in Boston past the point of no return last summer, though, the perception of him changed from good-natured airhead to self-absorbed pinhead. There will be teams interested in Manny, but they probably won't be on his (or Scott Boras') terms and they won't turn to him until other, less agonizing possibilities are exhausted.

So, how will Manny pass the time until a suitor comes a'calling?

Ramirez told a friend that he spends most of his time working out, watching cartoons and playing video games.

Manny strikes me as a SpongeBob SquarePants kinda guy, but there's always the chance he is just sitting in total darkness trying to figure out what's going on in some cutting edge anime programming.
