With about a week to go in the regular season, it's that time of year when baseball fans start looking ahead to the magic of October.
In another sign of fall, tickets for potential postseason home games at Dodger Stadium for the National League wild-card game, NL Division Series and NL Championship Series will go on sale Friday.
Sales begin at 10 a.m. online and the Dodger Stadium box office.
The Dodgers enter Friday's play 2 1/2 games ahead of the Colorado Rockies in the race for the NL West lead. The Dodgers have nine games remaining, one less than Colorado. The Dodgers will be assured of the NL West title with any combination of Dodger victories and Rocky losses totaling eight.
If the Dodgers have the best or second-best record of the league's three division winners, they would open the best-of-five NLDS on Oct. 4 at Dodger Stadium. The best-of-seven NLCS will start Oct. 12.
The NL wild-card game will be played Oct. 2.
