LA Kings to Bring Stanley Cup to Dodgers Stadium

LA Kings to take team photo and throw first pitch before Angels-Dodgers game

The Los Angeles Kings will join the Dodgers and Angels at Chavez Ravine on Wednesday night to take a special team photo and throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game.

The newly crowned LA Kings, who on Monday clinched the first Stanley Cup championship in franchise history, will bring the Stanley Cup trophy to Wednesday's event.

The LA Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils with a 6-1 victory during Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday, setting off a wave of celebrations in the city, including a championship parade and celebratory rally outside Staples Center on Thursday afternoon.

"I understand how hard it is to win in any sport and obviously the Stanley Cup is a huge deal, and I'm very happy for the city and the Kings," Dodgers player Jerry Hairston said on the team's website. "I know it's been a long time coming. It was an unbelievable run for them."

The team photo is scheduled to begin at roughly 6 p.m., and the Angels-Dodgers game will start at 7:10 p.m.
