Manny Can Live Big In LA At Boston Condo Price

Manny Ramirez was living large in Boston. But now he is here and he is selling his Boston digs.

That would be the $8.5 million, 4,500-square-foot condo in the heart of the city, with amazing views. It is part of the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, which means for the more than $6,000 a month in fees (on top of what you paid for the condo) you get 24-room service and amenities like you were staying at the hotel. Not a bad way to go, if you can afford it.

But what can Manny get for around $8,5 million in Los Angeles.

Well, if he wants to live close to his new friends the McCourts (and doesn’t mind a bit of a commute to work) there is a great place on the market in Malibu. Modern glass building right on the water with stunning views of the Pacific, a big deck, a built in bar, three bedrooms plus a maid’s quarters. He would probably need the maid because, unlike the Ritz in Boston, nobody is there to bring you room service at 2 am.

Maybe he wants something a little more old-school Los Angeles. Well, there is this recently restored 1930's Hollywood Regency style home in Bel Air. It feel like it’s right out of the silent movie era — back when Hollywood through crazy wild parties that didn’t end up in the tabloids the next week. It comes with a gym, and we know Manny is a workout fiend, plus there are four bedrooms, 8 bathrooms (are you kidding?), a pool and a move screening room.

Or, maybe he liked that living-in-the-city, Ritz Carlton feel. Well, if he can hold on for another year or so, there will soon be the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live. Right in the heart of downtown, but high up enough that you don’t have to see the homeless, will be the same beautiful condominiums and service that Manny loved so in Boston. He gets a beautiful view of the downtown skyline and can easily walk to Staples for a Lakers game or the Conga Room to see the Lakers players off hours. Plus there is a spa.

Now that sounds like Manny.
