Dodgers Strike Back With “Star Wars” Night

"Star Wars" characters will take pictures with fans before the Dodgers take on Seattle

The Los Angeles Dodgers will conduct their seventh annual "Star Wars" Night at Tuesday's interleague game against the Seattle Mariners at Dodger Stadium.

Pregame ceremonies will be themed to "Star Wars," and "Star Wars" characters will pose for pictures with fans. The Dodgers offered a special "Star Wars" ticket package in the infield reserve section and right field pavilion, including an exclusive "Star Wars" T-shirt. The package is sold out.

Kenny Landreaux, an outfielder on the Dodgers' 1981 World Series championship team, will sign autographs in the left field pavilion plaza from 5- 7 p.m. Jen Hirsh, the lead singer of the synth-pop group MONOGEM will sing the national anthem.

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Justin Crabbe of Rancho Cucamonga and Lance Weir of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, a member of the Marine Corps Reserve, will be honored as the military heroes of the game. They are both veteran-focused liaisons with Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance dogs and ongoing support to wounded veterans.
