The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed right fielder Yasiel Puig and reliever Joel Peralta on the 15-day disabled list.
Puig strained his left hamstring running out a ground ball in Friday night's victory against San Diego.
Peralta has been dealing with what he described as a "dead arm."
The Dodgers recalled right-handers Scott Baker and Carlos Frias. Baker was scheduled to start Sunday against the Padres.
Manager Don Mattingly says Puig is disappointed "because he thinks he's going to be ready to play in four to five days. I think Yasiel plays at one speed. That's where it's tough for him to say hey, `You've got to back off.' That's where you've got to protect him from himself."
