Stolen Vehicle Slams Into Sun Valley Residence's Front Yard Following Brief Pursuit, Two Injured

Two people were transported to a hospital Friday from a three-vehicle crash in Sun Valley.

The crash happened after the driver of a stolen vehicle led officials on a brief pursuit.

Authorities were in the area investigating a shooting when they spotted the stolen vehicle. Upon approaching the driver, the vehicle sped away, crashing into two cars ahead, causing one to be pinned under the other.

The stolen vehicle smashed into a home's front yard, startling the resident.

"I was terrified," Doreen Dannelly, the resident of the home whose yard was smashed into, said. "I just heard sombedoy wailing and I turned around, the guy was in my front yard face down."

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 6:50 a.m. to the 11400 block of Saticoy Street. Two of three people evaluated at the scene were transported to an area hospital, Bastman said.

Their conditions and genders were not immediately known, she said.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the crash.
