Surveillance Photos Show Man Who Allegedly Followed Woman With Autism Off Bus, Groped Her

Sheriff's deputies were searching for a man who allegedly followed a woman with autism off a bus in West Hollywood and groped her in an underground parking garage.

The 20-year-old woman was approached by the man on the afternoon of April 17 while she was waiting for the bus at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a news release Thursday.

The man followed her onto the MTA Line 2 bus and off at the Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue stop. As she was walking home, the man exposed himself several times, deputies said. Once she reached an underground parking garage, he allegedly pushed her up against a wall and groped her, but was scared off when a car drove into the garage.

Investigators released surveillance images of the alleged groper. He was described as a black man about 6 feet tall and weighing 225 with a stocky build. He had his hair in cornrows and wore an earring in his left ear.
