Placentia police Thursday released a surveillance video photo of a suspect who took a blowtorch to an automatic teller machine to try to break into it.
Police hope the photo will help them track down the suspect who drove up to an ATM outside of a 76 gas station at 480 S. Placentia Ave. at 12:19 a.m. on Dec. 16.
The suspect drove up in a black, 1996-2002 Mercedes Benz E Class car, walked over to the ATM and tried to break into it with a blowtorch. He was unsuccessful.
Anyone with information was asked to call detectives at 714-993-8146. Orange County Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.
