Suspected Thief Stabs Security Guard at Pasadena Sears: Cops

The worker was knifed when he confronted the man at the outlet on the 3800 block of East Foothill Boulevard

A suspected thief allegedly stabbed a security guard at a Sears store in Pasadena Monday.

The worker was knifed when he confronted the man at the outlet on the 3800 block of East Foothill Boulevard at around 8 p.m, a Pasadena Police Department spokesman said.

After the attack shoppers and other staff members came to the aid of the loss prevention official, who is said to have been bleeding profusely. He was later taken to the hospital in stable condition.

A 26-year-old suspect, who is a resident of San Fernando, has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
