Police shut down a shopping plaza in Gardena Thursday morning following a commercial burglary at a discounts store.
The Gardena Police Department investigated a burglary at DD's Discounts that a representative said took place just before 5 a.m. SWAT officers could be seen entering the store, but didn't find anyone beyond three people who were detained before the SWAT team arrived, police said.
Witnesses told police that a fourth person may have been involved in the burglary. Business were closed in the shopping center while a SWAT team swept through the building.
Traffic was not stopped in the 2400 block of Rosecrans Avenue, police said.
