Thousands of Customers Without Power in Long Beach

Thousands of customers were without power in Long beach after outages were reported around 1 a.m., according to Southern California Edison.

Long Beach Police Department confirmed it received reports of power outages.

As of 4:40 a.m., about 7,000 customers were without power, according to an SCE outage map.

About 20,844 customers were without power earlier, according to SCE.

Outages were reported in the East side and Traffic Circle areas of Long Beach.

SCE said power was fully restored to the affected areas around 1:30 a.m. SCE's website noted power outages after 4 a.m.
