Three people were shot outside a home in South Los Angeles Sunday morning while their family was preparing for a barbecue.
At 9:46 a.m. two to four masked men approached the family and opened fire in the driveway of a home at the intersection of Towne Avenue and 84th Street, police said.
Three men were hit by gunfire and were driven to the hospital by other family members or friends.
One was struck in the head, one in the stomach and one on the buttocks, investigators said.
The man who was shot in the head is in extremely critical condition.
Two of the men are in their 40s and the third is in his 20s.
No other details were immediately available.
