The Transportation Security Administration Tuesday will celebrate its newly opened enrollment center in Burbank for its PreCheck program, which allows pre-screened passengers to skip certain security procedures when boarding an airplane.
The enrollment center in the Landmark Shopping Center at 2436 W. Victory Blvd. is the first in the San Fernando Valley, and officials plan to hold a news conference to discuss TSA PreCheck benefits and demonstrate the enrollment process.
TSA PreCheck allows enrolled travelers to leave on their shoes, belt and light outerwear as well as leave their laptop, electronics larger than a cell phone and travel-size liquids in their carry-on bag during the security checkpoint screening process.
