More Than Two Dozen Swimmers Stung by Stingrays in Huntington Beach

It was a painful weekend at the beach for some swimmers.

Huntington Beach lifeguards say stingrays stung at least six people Sunday and 20 people Saturday.

Stingray bites are common in elements like this weekend. The water was warm, only a foot high and the tide was low.

Lifeguards recommend shuffling your feet when going in the water.

Stingrays get defensive and sting if they're stepped on.
