Two people were killed in a five-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway Sunday in San Dimas, where at least six other people were injured.
The conditions of the six survivors were not immediately known and the two people killed in the crash died at the scene, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the location at 8:45 a.m., he said.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred on the westbound freeway at Via Verde Street.
The CHP reported at 9:44 a.m. that it was shutting down the Via Verde Street on-ramp, and later announced that the numbers 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway would be closed for a few hours.
