Two men were shot dead in South Los Angeles Wednesday night.
They were gunned down on the 1200 block of West 87th Street in Westmont at around 11:30 p.m, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said. They died at the scene.
LASD homicide detectives are investigating the shooting, which they say was gang related.
Since 2000 Westmont has been the most deadly neighborhood in LA County, with 78.49 killings per 10,000 people and 135.59 killings per square mile, according to the LA Times.
