Man Threatened UCLA Staff Member With Sexual Assault in Attack Near Campus

A female UCLA staff member was pushed down by an attacker making sexually explicit threats in Westwood Tuesday, university police said.

The woman was attacked near the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Le Conte Avenue at around 10:40 a.m., the University of California Police Department said in a press release.

The attacker was described by the UCPD as a man about 35 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, brown hair, brown eyes and wearing a white tank top and dirty khahi pants.

The victim ran away, while the attacker was last seen walking south on Westwood Boulevard toward Weyburn Avenue, the UCPD said.

The incident was under investigation, police said.
