A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in Carson on Friday night, authorities said.
The shooting was reported around 8:29 p.m. in the 23400 block of S. Avalon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he died, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
Detectives believe the shooting may have been gang related.
