The body of a deceased man was found Tuesday decomposing in a van parked outside Helen Bernstein High School in the Hollywood area.
The body was found in the 1300 block of North Wilton Place. It was not immediately clear how long the van had been at the location, but police initially responded to a report that the vehicle had been there for at least two weeks.
A school employee called police Tuesday morning reporting a foul smell.
A cause of death was not immediately determined, but the man appeared to have died of natural causes, officers said. He was believed to be in his mid-60s.
There was no evidence of foul play, according to Lt. Michael Ling of LAPD's Hollywood Division.
