Victim Shot to Death at Outdoor Santa Ana Party

Police say a large group of juveniles and young adults were attending the party in the street/parking lot of an industrial park.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a male fatally wounded Saturday morning at an unsanctioned outdoor party in Santa Ana.

Someone called police about 1:15 a.m. to report a shooting had occurred in the 1700 block of Newport Circle, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.

Officers arriving at the scene reported that a large group of juveniles and young adults were attending an unsanctioned outdoor party in the street/parking lot of an industrial park, when the shooting occurred.

Paramedics rushed the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:41 a.m.

Santa Ana police homicide detectives asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (714) 245-8390.
