Instagram Live Video Led Authorities in California to One of Dallas' Most-Wanted Fugitives

Detectives searching for one of Dallas' most-wanted fugitives arrested the man Monday near a Woodland Hills elementary school after he posted a live video on Instagram.

Nineteen-year-old Christopher Ricardo Gonzalez was wanted in connection with several crimes in Texas. He had been one of Texas' Most Wanted after police said he was part of a group of suspects sought in several home invasions. Dallas police said Gonzalez also is suspected of fatally shooting 54-year-old Horace Davis last year.

Dallas authorities were able to track Christopher Ricardo Gonzalez through social media after he posted the live video in the Woodland Hills area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Topanga Division.

The LAPD assisted Dallas authorities and went to the area Gonzalez was believed to be in. After arriving at the 5000 block of Serrania Avenue, near Serrania Charter for Enriched Studies school, police found a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's car and a short pursuit ensued.

The pursuit ended when Gonzalez crashed into a pole.

Gonzalez is expected to be extradited to Dallas. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
