Crews from Burbank's water company were at Magnolia Boulevard and First Street Sunday repairing a water main break that flooded the intersection, authorities said.
Police observed the flooding about 8 p.m., police Sgt. Chris Canales said. Officers shut down the intersection and notified the city's water company and Public Works.
It appeared concrete and pavement were damaged by the break, Canales said. Workers shut off the water and began repairs, he said.
It is a business area, Canales said. He did not know how many customers were affected by the break or how large the water main is.
