Water Main Breaks Near LAX

A water main break on a street early Friday near Los Angeles International Airport forced lane closures.

The break in a 36-inch pipe occurred at Aviation Boulevard and Century Boulevard, east of the airport. No significant traffic delays were reported in or out of the airport.

The break occurred on the eastbound side of the street, used by drivers leaving LAX.

On Thursday night, about 30 customers were left without water after a water main  break in the Fairfax District. The Department of Water and Power said the 8-inch main broke near the  intersection of Rosewood Avenue and North Curson Avenue.
