Part of Santa Monica Boulevard was closed in West Hollywood Friday morning due to a suspicious package investigation.
Santa Monica Boulevard was closed in the 7700 block following a traffic stop that led to the investigation. Officers reported finding a "suspicious" device inside the vehicle.
A bomb squad was called to the site.
Metro issued a rider alert for Line 704. The bus will detour off Santa Monica Boulevard.
Authorities detonated the device and reopened the street ahead of the Friday morning drive.
