A woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was shot dead during an argument outside a house in Carson late Thursday.
The victim was shot several times in the torso during an altercation on the 1100 block of East Turmont Street at around 9:30 p.m, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
He was discovered at the scene by deputies and was taken to a hospital, where he died. Witnesses told police the woman produced a handgun and shot the victim as they argued on a driveway.
The suspect, who is in her mid-20s, allegedly fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Pickup truck. The vehicle was stopped near the location by deputies and she was arrested. A handgun was recovered from inside the vehicle, investigators said.
She was taken to the LASD's Carson Station and booked for murder.
The investigation is still ongoing.
