Boyfriend Arrested After Woman Found Dead in Garden Grove Under Suspicious Circumstances

The boyfriend of a 40-year-old woman found dead in a Garden Grove apartment affected by "serious hoarding" was arrested, investigators said.

Troy Eric Tommasino, 54, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the woman's death.

Detectives responded to the 13000 block of Casa Linda Lane on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., the Garden Grove Police Department said.

"He's the one who called," Lt. Bob Bogue said of Tommasino, referring to the initial 911 call. "He had the information. That's why we asked him to go to the station to talk to him."

Investigators found the woman's body amid clutter in the apartment.

"The apartment is in disarray. It looks like there was a struggle in there," Bogue said.

They initially called her death "suspicious" as it was difficult to determine how she died.

Her death was not an "obvious homicide" due to the "serious hoarding condition" in the apartment, and the position her body was found in.

Details on how she died, as well as her identity, would not be released until next of kin was notified.
