Sheriff's detectives were investigating the stabbing death of a woman found dumped Sunday on the Angeles Crest Highway north of La Canada Flintridge, a deputy said.
The unidentified woman was found about 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 30.45, which is about three miles north of the Foothill (210) Freeway, and north of La Canada Flintridge, according to Deputy Wally Bracks and Google maps.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Bracks said. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No suspect information was immediately available, according sheriff's homicide Lt. John Corina. The investigation was ongoing.
