A woman was shot and killed Sunday in an apparent homicide in San Jacinto.
Authorities received an assault with a deadly weapon call at about 3:15 p.m. near North Dillon Avenue and South State Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
When deputies arrived at the scene they found a woman who had been shot and subsequently died from her injuries.
No other details were released by authorities, and an investigation was ongoing.
