Wildomar Youth Pastor Booked on Suspicion of Lewd Acts on Kids

Detectives say he assaulted several victims between 1999 and 2017.

A youth pastor in Wildomar has been arrested on suspicion of lewd acts on children over a nearly 20-year span.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies located Malo "Victor" Montiero, 45, of Colton, in Wildomar about 9:45 a.m and arrested and booked him at Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for numerous felony charges related to sexual assault on juveniles, according to Sgt. James Woodland with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Wildomar police received a report of lewd acts in June that had allegedly been committed by a local youth pastor. An investigation by Riverside sheriff's detectives determined several victims had been sexually assaulted when they were juveniles between 1999 and 2017.

The name of the church where Montiero was a pastor was not disclosed.
