Founded in 1941, Bob Hope USO provides morale, entertainment and support services across 43,000 square miles of Southern California, directly interacting with more than 200,000 troops and military families each year, on base and at our centers. At our airport centers in 2015, we welcomed 125,000 traveling troops and military family members.
Airport center volunteers serve as USO ambassadors and hosts, offering food, entertainment, Wi-Fi, travel assistance and the comforts of home, all free to eligible guests. Our 630 volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization, and last year gave 88,128 hours of time to our troops.
