Fantastic Friends is a national non-profit organization that hosts fun monthly events for celebrating uniqueness and creating friendships for people with special needs and volunteers. Our San Fernando Valley Chapter serves special needs teens 12-19 years old. Members are always paired with a 1:1 typically developing peer volunteer at each event, who help them interact with other Fantastic Friends and participate in the event’s activities. Events are always fun and creative, and provide a variety of social and learning experiences for our special needs members.
Volunteers 12 and older are welcome! Peer volunteers 12-19 years of age are vital to our mission. The inclusion aspect starts with you! Peers are paired with a special needs teen to help them with event activities and socializing. Adult volunteers are needed to help set up, clean up and monitor during events.
