It May Look Like Halloween But It Felt Like Christmas

Free Halloween costumes handed out to kids in need

It may look like Halloween, but it felt like Christmas in Santa Monica on Thursday when thousands of kids got free Halloween costumes.

The Boys & Girls Club, Southern California Region, along with leading U.S. toymaker JAKKS Pacific, made sure children from the club will get to go trick-or-treating in style.

Kids got to pick out their very own Halloween costume. Choices included: Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Power Rangers, Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean, and many more.

Most of the families of these children aren't able to provide costumes this season because of the bad economy, and for many kids this was one of the first Halloween costumes they have ever had.

The Boys & Girls Club has chapters throughout the Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego counties.

The toys were donated by JAKKS Pacific, a US toymaker with a long-standing relationship with Boys & Girls Club of America.
