UMMA Community Clinic

UMMA Community Clinic opened its doors in 1996 with the mission of promoting the well-being of the underserved by providing comprehensive high-quality healthcare for all, regardless of ability to pay. Every year, UMMA treats 6,500 uninsured, indigent or working poor patients at its two locations in South Los Angeles, where there is only one doctor for every 7,000 patients. Both UMMA locations offer a full-range of medical and behavioral health services to help patients heal in mind, body and spirit.

In South Los Angeles where there is only one hospital bed per 1000 residents, accessibility to high-quality, preventative care can have a significant positive impact on the lives of the community.

When you volunteer with UMMA as a medical provider, you’re giving more than just your time – you’re giving hope and putting good health within reach. Although volunteers from all medical fields are needed and encouraged to join the UMMA family, we currently have a specific need for Primary Care Providers.  To volunteer, click here
