NBC4 Anchor Chuck Henry Receives Television Journalist of the Year Award

Anchor Chuck Henry honored by Los Angeles Press Club

NBC4 Anchor Chuck Henry and former station producer Tara Wallis-Finestone received the Television Journalist of the Year Award from the Los Angeles Press Club at the organization's 54th annual awards ceremony held at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, June 24, 2012. NBC4 Anchor Robert Kovacik presented the award.

Henry and Wallis-Finestone were honored for their 2011 body of work, which included a news piece on a secret Los Angeles domestic violence shelter -- a three acre compound housing 12 families -- into which Henry and Wallis-Finestone were the first journalists allowed entry.

Additional stories include the "Amelia Earhart Mystery," an exclusive story revealing new information and never-before-seen photos of the famed aviator that has renewed interest in the mystery of Earhart's disappearance.

"Forgotten Footprints," which also won 2nd place for Best Entertainment Story, revealed the story behind how the original Grauman's Chinese Theater footprints were discovered in a Southern California Airport hangar.
