The ongoing wildfires have put the Los Angeles area under an air quality alert, with the National Weather Service advising SoCal residents to remain indoors with their windows closed and wear N-95 masks if they have to go outside.

A ban on indoor and outdoor wood burning will be in place Friday in much of the Southland due to a forecast of high air pollution in the area.

An air quality alert is in effect for parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties Monday due to smoke from a wildfire that grew to more than 14,000 acres over the weekend.
