From the opening bell, Democrats unleashed an aggressive verbal assault on New York billionaire Mike Bloomberg and raised new questions about Bernie Sanders’ take-no-prisoners politics in a contentious debate Wednesday night on the Las Vegas strip.

Democratic presidential candidates sparred in a debate in Las Vegas, and The Associated Press examined their claims. The AP Fact Check finds that Mike Bloomberg in his first debate appearance offered a distorted account of why “stop and frisk” declined when he was New York mayor.

“Democrats take a huge risk if we just substitute one arrogant billionaire for another,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren said about Michael Bloomberg.
