The owner of a car repair shop—exposed by the NBC4 I-Team to be illegally hogging street parking with fancy cars — has been ordered by an LA Superior Court judge to pay a $1,000 fine, and complete 100 hours of community service.
After the NBC4 I-Team investigated a lack of parking on Fountain Avenue in LA’s Silver Lake neighborhood, the culprit — a repair shop called Hi-Tech Automotive — was exposed for illegally filling the streets with customers’ cars. Joel Grover reports April 20, 2022.
As you drive down Fountain Avenue in the heart of LA’s popular Silverlake neighborhood, there are now plenty of open meters and plenty of parking spots on residential streets.
