A teen boy known only as ‘John Doe 1978’ for more than 40 years has been identified by police.

A man police believe is responsible of assault with a deadly weapon was holed up in a barricade situation Sunday in La Puente.

The lawsuit states that the teachers removed the boy, who had Down syndrome, was taken out of his specialized wheelchair, and took a fall while strapped in a classroom chair. Jonathan Gonzalez reports Aug. 17, 2022.
