After the country music artist was nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, then asked to “bow out” of the process on social media, the foundation responded by saying it is up to voters to decide whether Parton is in or out.

The music icon, who has been elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame, explained her decision in a statement posted on her official social media pages
