Saugus High School in Santa Clarita was locked down Friday as deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon report.

A big playoff game tonight between two local high school teams is being played under a cloud of controversy. This after a flag was flown at a Saugus High School football game that has been tied to white supremacist movements but others maintain it’s simply about supporting law enforcement.

The William S. Hart Union High School District superintendent said the Saugus High School football team can no longer use the “thin blue line” flag at games in its pregame ceremonies, echoing a decision made by the team’s coach.
