An Apatow Extravaganza — Live! — at the Orpheum

We know Apatowians who would drive well over 700 miles just to see a screening of a Judd Apatow film -- produced, directed, or just a movie that Mr. Apatow has said he kind of likes -- on opening night. But how about a live performance, with several of the Apatow players -- think Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Leslie Mann, not to mention Adam Sandler -- that will be used in a Judd Apatow movie that's currently in production?

That movie is "Funny People," and the actors are heading for the Orpheum to be funny (we're guessing, unless that title is ironic) and shoot scenes for the flick. Count on a rainbow of ginormously hilarious and comically gifted people to walk on stage at various intervals and break up the audience.

And as this is being used in a movie that you'll be seeing later with your friends, also count on going on about how you were there and where you were sitting and getting all braggy on with your bad self.

Did we mention Judd Apatow himself is hosting? Bonus, right? Also nice: the money will go to good causes, like 826LA...
