Texas Hold ‘Em Tourney to Support “Ante Up for Africa”

San Manuel Band of Mission Indians pledges $500,000 for Darfur-serving charity

Actor Don Cheadle and poker pro Annie Duke are back at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino this week to host the Ante Up For Africa charity poker tournament.

The event -- scheduled for Thursday -- combines poker, celebs and a good cause (read: It's OK to lose because it's all for charity). Winners will receive cash from a prize pool of $50,000 (read: It's still OK to try and win).

The buy-in is $150, and nearly 300 players are expected. Last year, such famous faces as Willie Garson from "Sex and the City," Josh Malina from "The West Wing," Tia Mowry of "Sister Sister," and even Dodgers first baseman James Loney, were in on the action.

The San Manuel Band Of Mission Indians has already pledged $500,000 to the charity for the event. Buy-ins can be made at the San Manuel box office or online at Ticketmaster.com.
