Billy Dee Williams in Person

The actor will visit the one-day LA Comic Book Convention.

It is certainly shaping up to be a banner year for "Star Wars" devotees.

Although, really, most years are pretty good. There tends to be a new documentary, a new special, more guest appearances at various screenings, pretty much each and every year that comes down the pike. Mark Hamill and Billy Dee Williams showing up at 20th Century Fox in November to talk "Return of the Jedi"? Yeah. Big. Big as a spaceship big.

But 2011 holds much promise, both with the opening of the "Star Wars" Miniland at LEGOLAND and an appearance by the amazing Billy Dee Williams, who brought one of the most beloved of the "Star Wars" characters to life. You know we're talking Lando Calrissian here.

Mr. Williams will be visiting the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention on Sunday, Jan. 16 from noon-2 p.m. to sign autographs. Other stars and booths will make up the con, of course; it's a major one, filling up a goodly chunk of the Shrine.
