Art is always in season in one of the planet's premiere creative destinations.

But come January in Los Angeles, the art community puts a brighter spotlight on the visual and fine arts. The Los Angeles Art Show just ended a few days back; Art LA returns next January.

And now Art Los Angeles Contemporary is set to unfurl over four days at the Pacific Design Center. Some 55 galleries, including Galerie Michael Janssen of Berlin, Museum 52 of New York and London, and many from our own fair city, will be showing up-to-the-minute pieces.

Collectors will be out in force, no doubt, but lookers and appreciaters and strollers-by-ers are also welcome. The dates are Thursday, January 28th through Sunday, January 31st. Note that the show is only open for a reception on the first day, but will go to longer hours Friday through Sunday.

    A one-day public pass is $16.
