Julia Roberts finds a new friend while taping a scene from "Eat, Pray, Love."

It's probably no surprise that if a film has a travel or food component, theaters and venues and restaurants are very apt to throw special nights and events inspired by the story.

We support. And we're thinking back to "Julie & Julia," and the Julia-Child-esque dishes the AnaheimWhite House was whipping up around the film's 2009 release.

If you've seen Julia Roberts eating pizza in recent days, you likely know that "Eat, Pray, Love" is opening on Friday, Aug. 13. And you want pizza. Or food. Delicious food. And lots of it.

Feast mentioned the tie-in, movie-ticket-y special RockSugar is throwing, but two others have come to our notice in recent days. One, Gold Class Cinemas in Pasadenawill be hosting a "live cooking demo" starting on Aug. 18 in association with the movie. And sooner than that -- actually ahead of the film's opening, we'll note -- Fresh at the Grove is screening "Eat, Pray, Love." There will be eats from Maggianos and yoga and it is free and it is a get-there-early-to-get-a-spot deal. The date's Wednesday, Aug. 11.

We're still waiting for a pizza parlor to throw its pies into the "Eat, Pray, Love" ring. Because pizza is turning out to be one of the stars of the film. We can't wait to start seeing pizza on the cover of all the celebrity magazines.
