On the heels of the new ArcLight Pasadena comes the announcement that the first ArcLight will open in the South Bay.
The location is El Segundo; the company promises you'll be watching your Christmastime blockbusters there. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" Part I? The Coens' "True Grit"? Would this be a good place to spend a couple of hours if you're waiting on a delayed flight? El Segundo being just a hop south of LAX.
When the Pasadena theater opened, we warbled the praises of the caramel popcorn and the on-site bar. Of course, we also like those little scribbled-on time sheets that help you get to your seat before the lights go down.
It's rare for a company to have a memorable staple, much less a handful of staples.
