While it isn't true that any fantastic party worth its salt lasts for several weekends, it is true that every major celebration has the tendency to spread out over a goodly amount of time.
The famous Golden Dragon danced down Broadway on Saturday, February 20th; now bicyclists and walkers and runners are taking to the street at the Firecracker 2010, which happens on Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th.
There's the 5K and 10K (both walking and running); the 20- and 42-mile bike rides; and lots of music and dragon dancing, courtesy of the Nite 'n Day Festival.
If you didn't make the Golden Dragon, there is still time to welcome the Year of the Tiger. If you did make the Golden Dragon, we're sure you want to keep the celebration going.
