GQ's Style Guy says tweed will never go out of style -- as long as you wear it in the right place at the right time.
The right place is the Los Angeles Tweed Ride in Hollywood. The right time is Saturday.
Dress in your best for the bicycle ride that includes stops at some of Hollywood's historic landmarks. Handlebar mustaches -- real or fake -- flat caps, knicker pants, wicker baskets, and all things dapper are encouraged.
Keep in mind, your dashing duds will be subjected to judgement. The event features the following contests:
- Best Tweed Dress: Male and Female
- Most Likely to be on a Fox Hunt
- Best Dressed Bike
- Best Mustache: Male and Female
- Best Hat
- Best Socks
- Best Hollywood Glamour Style- Male and Female
Meet for scones and tea at Hollywood High School. The group will stop at the Egyptian, Cole House and Good Humor Building because there's no point in getting all dressed up with no place to go take a photo.
The ride departs at 1 p.m. and will cover no more than 10 miles. It ends at the Cat and Fiddle Pub on Hollywood Boulevard.
