It's probably natural to have a touch of Edinburgh envy, now and then, what with that city's witchy landmarks and its whisky'd sauces and its very famous 63-year-old Fringe Festival.
We're okay with our Edinburgh-based longings. But we can also celebrate our own Fringe, right here in Hollywood. The Hollywood Fringe Festival runs Thursday, June 17 through Sunday, June 27 in various nooks and corners and bars and streets of Tinseltown.
The popping-up-in-various-venues bit is very Fringe, after all; performers going to the people is a tenet of Fringeology. But if you want a bit of assistance finding a Fringer, look here.
And to soak in the spectrum of dancers and comics and circus performers and cabaret singers who will be part of the 11-day spectacular, look here. A summer evening spent in the presence of someone buskering is a something very pleasurable indeed.
